Saturday December 10th is another historic date in the 35 year history of the revived West Somerset Railway with a special pre-Christmas First Great Western train running from the West Somerset Railway to the popular shopping cities of Bristol and Cardiff. The train is made up of a Class 150/2 diesel multiple unit and will call at WSR stations except Doniford Halt.
The train will depart from Minehead at 08:40, call at West Somerset Railway stations (except Doniford Halt) departing from Bishops Lydeard at 09:47. The service will arrive at Bristol at 11:12 and Cardiff at 12:19. The return train departs from Cardiff at 16:00 and Bristol at 16:53 arriving at Bishops Lydeard at 18:25 and Minehead an hour later. There are no train changes involved, passengers remain on the same train for the entire journey.
